Jodie Phillips is a multi-disciplinary British artist, studying fine arts at Plymouth University, her work explores controversial topics based on theoretical research and knowledge surrounding current and universal issues. Her exhibits have included oil paintings, clay sculptures film, photography and soft sculptures and work focused around the wool industry.  she had provided an insight into the dyslexic mind and a stark reality display of non-consensual consent; no is a complete sentence. Her work supports feministic belief in full social, economic, and political equality for women within the art world and society as a whole.  She is Currently producing a provocative installation of art based on fetishism including video, installations, photography, oil paintings, contemporary sculpture, fetish objects and clothing.  

communicated via the concept of voyeurism supported by Mulvey's notions of the 'male gaze ' and how women have become objectified her work explores ways to communicate through fetish installation and visually to her audience using the concept of voyeurism. Exhibits includes 

Existing broken mannequins reformed into fetish light furnishings and visual strategies that probe the critical potential of fetish play with keen attentiveness to the objectification of the female body, articulates from a feminist perspective. 

Future exhibition this year focuses on the UK wool industry and wool natural environmental free commodity.  The exhibition will include a live performance using a traditional spinning wheel and handmade samples of raw wool created into soft furnishings created by the art of short hand spinning, and weaving.
